NEWS FLASH!! I have changed my email from cottagegardenquilting@comcast.net (or dejacobs@comcast.net) to debquilts4u@gmail.com. I will no longer have access to the comcast email at the end of Nobember. Its been another banner year for my piecers! Christy Proost won first place at the State Fair for a beautiful confetti quilt she pieced (an Augusta Cole design)-in the machine pieced machine quilted category. Paula Gaidos won at the Richmond Quilt Show for two quilts! The first, "Diamonds in the Rough" won viewers choice! The second, her Mariner Compass design set into pieced blocks won third place for machine pieced and machine quilted! Whoo Hooo! Another prolific and awesome piecer, Nancy Buckland, won a vendors choice for her beautiful round robin quilt. Earlier this year Bobbie Christensen walked away with a first place ribbon for her incredible patriotic quilt as well! I am grateful to all of you for sharing your incredible piecing with me. I had a very small part in their success but am grateful for it! I also want to congratulate Ann Banks at JoJo's Quilt shop for her first successful year in the Tour de Quilt! It was a great honor to quilt her first entry for the tour! It was Beautiful Ann! Just like your wonderful shop! To my mind all of my piecers are winners in my book. Thank you for filling my life with beautiful quilts.
